Compulsive Sexual Behavior Recovery (CSBR) Group Archive

Archive of This Great Past Kenwood Center Service and Group

Group Day & Time: Thursdays, 5:00-7:00pm

Brief Description: Compulsive sexual behavior is marked by intense sexual thoughts and impulses that feel overwhelming and out of control. People who struggle with compulsive sexual behavior
often find themselves in a recurring sexual behavior cycle that is associated with distress, worry, guilt, hopelessness, and shame. Sometimes this cycle can interfere with significant relationships, work, and even lead to engaging in risky sexual activities. Compulsive sexual behavior can affect both men and women, and people of any sexual orientation. If you feel your sexual behavior is out of
control, it is important to realize that you are not alone. Fear and embarrassment often make it difficult for individuals to seek treatment, but with help you can develop healthier, more positive sexual behavior.

Getting Started: To get started in the CSBR group, call the Intake Team at 612-377-9190 x 1; be sure to have your insurance information with you at that time. The Intake Team will gather a variety of important information for Dr. Scott Jacoby, the group coordinator, as well as schedule an initial, individual intake appointment with Dr. Jacoby, in order to determine placement in the group.
