Adolescent Narrative DBT Group

**Currently, we do not have any DBT groups running. Check back in the future for updates.
Brief Description: The Adolescent Narrative DBT Group is intended for adolescents who are currently struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-injury, and/or relational issues either at home or at school. This is a family group, which offers a parent an opportunity to be present and participate in the group with the adolescent. With the parent and the adolescent learning and participating together, the family will be able to address concerns collaboratively. This group will focus on teaching and utilizing DBT skills in a Narrative DBT format. The skills are focused in 4 areas: learning to manage emotions, learning to cope with and respond to distress, learning to have healthy interpersonal boundaries and communication, and learning to be more mindful of the moment. This will allow the family to feel better equipped to manage challenging situations.

Getting Started: An intake can be scheduled by calling the front office at 612-377-9190 x 1. The intake will include a one hour diagnostic assessment, which will determine whether the family is a good fit for the group.
